The God of Israel says in the Old Testament I have put life and death before you; choose life.
Deuteronomy 30:19 Good News Translation (GNT)
19 I am now giving you the choice between life and death, between God’s blessing and God’s curse, and I call heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Choose life.
It is our good judgment with all our sins for us to choose life because the living God said He will not allow you to choose death nor allow any agreement with hell to stand.
Isaiah 28:18 King James Version (KJV)
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
He says you will be trodden down by it when it appears but the agreement with hell shall not stand. God by His word is not to agree with those who reject Him. The Bible makes it clear the burden is on us individually to choose life, and chose escaping the overflowing scourge when it appears instead of being trodden down by it.
